Maruzen hydraulic rock drill DH205 is the only tool on the market with a built-in air flushing feature with 4 different modes of blow frequency and rotations.
4 modes can be selected depending on the hardness of the rock.
DH205 can be operated with Maruzen power units, this package will be the best investment in the market.
The exhaust of the air is necessary when drilling the rock with the rock drills.
This is because if the dust generated during drilling is not exhausted from the hole, the drill bits can be trapped inside the hole by the dust and will not operate and cannot work for further drilling.
In existing hydraulic rock drills, external air was connected to the drill to remove the dust in order to remove the dust from the hole.
In this case, the operator needs to bring a drill rod, hydraulic power source, hydraulic hoses, and air compressor in addition to the hydraulic rock drill.
Since the working area is not always in an open and flat area, the fewer tools and equipment the operator needs to carry will lighten the burden imposed on the operator and moreover easier it is to ensure safety.
If the operator is mainly using hydraulic equipment, it would be a troublesome job to bring in an air compressor just for rock drills.
Maruzen hydraulic rock drill has an air compressor built inside the main body of the rock drill.
The air produced by the drill is flushed out from the end of the drill rod and used for flushing out the dust from the drilling hole. When drilling up to 1m, an air compressor is unnecessary.
*Depending on the rock hardness or type, the drilling available depth without external air can be varied.
Moreover, Maruzen’s hydraulic rock drill has unique features in addition to the built-in air compressor. The drill’s operation mode can be selected from 0 to 4 different modes of rotation speeds can be selected depending on the quality of the rock.
The 0 modes is blowing only mode, which means no rotation mode, and it can be used for starting positioning. When starting drilling, drilling points should be determined at the point, but if the drill rotates, it is difficult to start drilling because the rod will be out of control around your foot.
However, by selecting mode 0, the rod can be easily positioned because of no rotation, and with the rod in a stabled condition, modes 1 – 3 can be selected and keep drilling according to the rock quality.
The mode chart is as follows.
MODE | ROTATION SPEED OF THE ROCK DRILL | SUITABLE FOR |
0 | 0 rpm | Starting positioning |
1 | 200 ~ 250 rpm | Hard rock |
2 | 250 ~ 350 rpm | Medium to hard rock |
3 | 450 ~ 600 rpm | Soft rock |
It can also be used as a breaker by selecting mode 0 using a special moil point that has a groove to release air.
In addition to these unique features, the anti-vibration handle with a safety lock lever is designed to keep the safety of the operator.
It is designed to be compact its weight is 22kg.
These advantages of one and only unique feature are the reason why Maruzen rock drills have been popular around the world for many years.
Not only rock drill but Maruzen has been a specialist in hydraulic handheld tools in Japan for more than 65 years.
Maruzen has been developing various ranges of hydraulic tools based on the concept of lightweight and compact, but high power.
Experience of manufacturing in Japan, Maruzen would like to expand its knowledge to the world.
