HOW TO USE

Check and confirm if the oil flow and pressure of power source are suitable with the specifications of this tool. Wear appropriate safety equipment when operating this tool.

 

CONNECTION

  • Make sure that there are no dirt or dust on the couplers before connecting the tool and power source with extension hoses.
    Lock the couplers after connecting.
  • Start power source and open the oil circuit.

 

OPERATION

  • Grip the tool firmly with both hands.
  • Operate the tool in full rpm. (Grasp the control lever in full position.)
  • Always cut branches from the bottom so that branches on top falls down easily after cutting.
  •  When cutting a thick branch, cut it in several times.
  • Cut limbs or branches straight through.
  • DO NOT twist the saw chain during cutting.
  • Be careful of kickback, push back, or pull in when operating. 
  • Ensure that no personnel is underneath the work area.The falling branch might hit the personal and cause injury.Be careful of the falling branch because it might bounce back hitting the ground.
  • Check the saw chain tension.The saw chain and guide bar get hot during operation.Always wear proper safety equipment during operation and check tension after saw chain and guide bar get cooled down.
  • When cutting a thick branch, cut it by following steps shown below.It can reduce the risk of kickback or getting a guide bar pinched in the branch.

 


AFTER OPERATION

  • After the operation, stop the power source.
  • Disconnect the extension hoses.
  • Wipe and clean dirt or mud on the tool.

MAINTENANCE

1.BEFORE LONG-TERM STORAGE

Take the following measures before long-term storage.

  • Remove saw chain and guide bar and clean them.
    Spray antirust oil before storage.
  • Wipe off moisture or dirt with a dry cloth and store the tool in clean dry space.
  • Do not wipe the rod or main body by using chemicals.

2.PERIODICAL INSPECTIONS

  • Ask Maruzen or authorized service center for periodical inspection.
  • Regular self-inspection need to be performed once every 6 months according to Article 351 of Occupational Safety and Health Regulation.
